I work two associations, and they aren't even adjacent if you can believe that. I live in one state and work in a metro area so there are benefits to being associated with both groups for me. I work my league games in the metro area near work and most of my weekend tournaments in my state where I live. While it is not required to register in both, there can be some benefits to bi-registering. For example, if you select one group, they have first right for assigning you which can cause some friction if you have tournaments in both areas the same weekend. You may prefer to work a local tournament but if the other association to which you paid dues needs you to fill games, they are going to expect you to be available to them first. By registering with both groups, and making it understood that you are doing so, they will be more likely to work with you and be more understanding of these types of potential conflicts in scheduling.
