OK. I get your point. UCONN basketball, both mens, and womens, as well as UCONN football, is considered "big time" here in Connecticut. Remember, we're a small state, most people can drive to a UCONN game in less than 90 minutes. We don't have much else in the way of "big time" professional sports since the Hartford Whalers left for the hockey "hotbed" of North Carolina. We don't have much to choose from: the WNBA Mohegan Suns (women's basketball, in the summer, at a casino), Hartford Wolf Pack AHL hockey, a few minor league AA baseball teams (good value for your buck), three "minor league" NASCAR race tracks, the Travelers PGA Championship (no Tiger yet), the Pilot Pen WTA, and ATP Tennis Championship, and not much else.
