You're right that it's not likely, I"m just saying it's one possible explanation. I did one set of games that were in a college gym, but we were using the sideways courts. THey were done in a sort of tan paint. It was AWFUL. Really, really hard to see the lines. This isn't as bad as that, but still lines aren't that bright reflective white. The refs aren't "crappy" in the SEC, so there must be some other explanation. Lines being hard to see seems more reasonable to me than anything else.
