Umpires will stop the game (but not the clock) until this rule is followed. 2nd, Collisions are judged more harshly against the participants. Some one could get ejected on every collision that occurs. The best bet is to slide or give it up. Offensive and defensive players are asked to avoid collisions. This situation puts the final decision on the umpire's shoulders. His judgment is final at that moment. If ejected, simply keep silent and leave the field of play. The 3rd rule pertains to the A/B batting rule. Each manager can use this batting order system if he chooses. However, once published in the batting order, the two players who share the batting spot cannot be substituted for throughout the game.
