Bob's answer is correct as usual, but perhaps confusing in that ordinarily a base on error IS charged as an at-bat. But the rules further provide:

"[N]o time at bat shall be charged against a player when . . . . (iv) He is awarded first base because of interference or obstruction."

10.02(a)(1).
