Per the discussion from 1.5 years ago, delay making a call, wait to see if the ball goes fair. If the ball stays in foul territory, it is nothing but a foul. If the ball goes fair, now call interference.
ASA doesn't cover this, since for interference on a runner can only be called if the runner interferes with a fielder attempting to field a
fair batted ball
or a foul fly ball.
