As I understand the rule, they will have to use the composite ball in the NCAA tournament in 2003, but other than that leather balls may still be used...previously you had to get the visiting coach's approval to use a composite ball, but that is no longer true...I am not aware of any rule saying they MUST use a composite ball - where did you hear that??
