Boys 18U Game. Good contest. Late in 3rd quarter B puts on full court press. A struggles a bit. One time down the court, A1 passes the ball from backcourt to A2 in the front court, A2 is trapped and passes back to A1 making the “infamous leap” from backcourt to frontcourt and A1 catches it in mid-air. TWEET! I signal backcourt and we’re going the other way. Coach yells, “He was in the air!” I turned and looked at him and said, “Exactly.”
$0 – amount coach gets paid per game (plus obligatory end of season gift);
$28 – amount I get paid per Rec game;
$100 – amount parents pay to have their children play in the league.
Priceless – look on the coach’s face……
