I've been playing, coaching, or officiating basketball for over forty years, and I've never seen this called.

Do you think that your partner called the violation after a real time ten seconds, or ten "hand flicks", or, did your partner give the shooter a couple of extra real time seconds, or a couple of extra "hand flicks". I've gotten to ten "hand flicks" on several occassions, and kept counting to eleven or twelve. I often wondered how long I would count until I finally blew my whistle? I guess that I haven't gotten to that point so far in twenty-seven years of officiating.
