Locked In !!!
One of our former officials was known for his very, very long shower, and dress, routine after games. He would actually shave before he showered. I worked a memorable game with him many, many years ago. Boys varsity game at a Catholic high school. As usual, he took his time going through his post game routine. As is our board's custom, I waited for him, which wasn't a big deal because both of us were only a few minutes from home. As we left the official's locker room, the first thing that we noticed was that the lights in the gym were turned off. We made our way through the dark gym to the school's main entrance. Not only were the doors locked, they were chained, and locked, shut. I had officiated some CYO games in that gym, and knew of an exit through the cafeteria's kitchen, which luckily, was locked, but only from the outside.
