No actually that sounds like you did it correctly if the shooter still had the ball in hand. Are you saying that the shooter had the ball at his disposal for the second FT when the double foul occurred? If that is the case, then as Nevada notes you have the double foul, then you give the ball back to the shooter for the 2nd free throw attempt and play on from there....no free throws for the double foul, just POI as Nevada notes..
If the double foul occurred as they were "preparing to rebound" the first attempt then that is a dead ball and you would have to have double techs in that situation...the result is the same though as far as the administration since you don't shoot FT's for the double techs either...
