Please allow a question slightly off subject. I've been told both ways and want some guidance for the summer league games I will be working before our camp.

I call a foul on a player. He raises the ball over his head and slams it to the floor but catches it (you can see but not here the "golly gee willikers" associated with the slamming).

First time I saw it happened, my partner gave a T. I have also T'd a player for that. When I did it, my partner said I should have held the whistle because you can't expect a player not to get angry at themselves over "dumb" mistakes. I feel slamming the ball warrants a T...now simply slapping it with a hand and grimacing is different.

Where do each of you stand on this?
