Gee: I couldn't decide which obsurd post of yours
to reply to, so I just made up my own. Are you for
real, or just trying to stir the rest of us up?
I haven't agreed with ONE thing you have written.
It seems you like to twist the rules around in a
way to make you look right. But when 99.9% of us
generally do things in certain ways, and you insist
that we are doing this all WRONG (but YOU are right),
don't you feel kind of alone? Do your partners
generally complain about your offbase way of
officiating baseball, or do they just keep
their mouths shut and pray for the game to end?

I feel we all should strive to learn to umpire
in a way that is generally followed and
accepted by ALL of us. There are clinics and
other ways to learn proper proceedures from
umpires that know what they are doing. Except
for some regional variations, we should be able
to walk on a field and comfortably work with
ANY (trained and experienced) umpire from any state.
I have actually done this with guys from many
different states, but none have come up with some of
the quirky rulings you are so adamant about.
