Oh, don't I know it. And yes, I work - don't want to, but have to. But I have a serious amount of leave as a benefit to my 6+ years overseas, so this has been the plan to use it. It's kind of a 'perfect storm,' timing-wise.

Thanks, but no thanks. My wife is active duty USAF, so we're doing our part there. And I'm not interested in the pay levels at the entry stages of the military or police forces - sort of why a pro umpire job isn't as appealing. (Again, beyond the wildest thoughts it could happen.)
