a 'ticky tack' face mask (?)
Just a brief background if you did not see it. BC/FSU game. FSU receiver (A) gets tackled. In the process of making the tackle the BC player (B) very briefly grabs the A player's face mask, and the LJ correctly flags B for an incidental facemask. When viewing the replay the color man (Herbstreit) says "boy, that was a pretty ticky tack face mask call." Does such a thing exist? I suppose we can have a ticky tack hold, illegal formation, etc., but I have never heard anyone argue that a face mask is 'ticky tack.' Am I way out to lunch on this? It seems to me this is why we have the 5-yarder at our disposal.
