I think the rule about no overtimes should be modified slightly, "no overtime for JV games."
This is especially important on nights when working a double header at two different locations.
Now I must admit that I learned the hard way. My 1st year, 1st game of the year, I was on a JV game that went to double OT. That was when I heard this phrase, "that's going into your evaluation."
For me and most every official I know, I think that no overtimes is just said tongue in check and they don't mean it. However there are some referees that I know of that really believe and act on it, but that's on them in the end.
