How many wild-card teams have ended up winning either their league title or the World Series in the last few years? A few methinks. It just depends on who gets hot in October. Hell, look at the Cards last year. Anyone who actually thinks that they were the best team in baseball in 2006 is either a die-hard Cards fan or into the wacky-tobaccy big time.
