Throw-in ending

A1 has ball OOB for a throw in near half court.
A1 throws ball to A2 who was in his frontcourt, jumps and catches ball in the air and lands in the backcourt.

What is the order of occurrence when A1 catches the ball?

1. Player control
2. Team control
3. Throw in ends

--or--

1. Throw in ends
2. Player control
3. Team control

--or--

all 3 are simultaneous?

I'm having difficulty now (reading new case play) vs. why the above sitch could now be considered a BC violation.

Based on the throw in ending at some point, couldn't you justify by rule, that A2 committed a BC violation?

i.e
Throw-in has ended, PC and TC are established while A1 has FC status all while airborne.

What am I missing??
