One of the reasons you see the extra trim on the shoulder is that the shirt is designed to be a little longer in the sleeves than other more traditional shirts. I do not think the issue is the type of fabric. The issue is the trim on the arms. The type of fabric can be used regardless of type of shirt. Also I do not see anything inherently wrong with the current shirts. The ones I have fit and feel very comfortable. I am not getting why these shirts are so revolutionary.
