OK, I'll bite . . . honestly, I don't see a difference. They "may" be just a little stiffer but I don't see any major difference in one being hotter than the other. I also wear them for basketball which requires a lot more running and they move fine without extra heat. I'm guessing that they have developed a softer, kindler patent leather.
