The Right Call, LL's so-called casebook, you'll see the same thing. The wording is not confusing at all. Simply squaring to bunt and holding the bat motionless over the plate is
not an attempt to bunt, strike at, or hit the ball. If the pitch is outside the strike zone, it should be called a ball.
