18A Metros, Team E is coached by a man who is, uh, portly. His catcher reaches base and he comes to me, the PU. (Yes, we were desperate for umpires.)

"Blue, I'd like to run for my catcher."

(Me, loud enough for all around to hear) "That's fine, coach, but if it were me, I'd use one of your players."

A GOOD time was had by all.
