On the CBS show, "First Monday", tonight, they portrayed a basketball game between the Department of Justice team and a team representing the Supreme Court. One of the Supreme Court justices was a referee and he called an "over the back" foul on one of the players. The mechanic he used looked like my beagle when he sits up and puts his paws in the "begging" position. Not only that, both "officials" were wearing shirts with collars.
There was one scene where an official threw a chest pass to an inbounder from about 20 feet away.
Doesn't anyone act as an advisor on these shows? Let me answer my own question: DUH!!!
BTW - just for you , Juulie - at the end of the show, two of the justices toasted "basketball players and the men who referee their games." Get it? The
men.
