The "
*" by the play means it's new or
revised. My old books are being used at the moment by new cadet officials, so I have no way to compare what was revised in this case play. If you say it was new last year, then we have to assume they changed it for this year. Probably to reflect the enforcement of a B-foul on a TD run by A on the succeeding kickoff if desired by team-A.
