Until you have to deal with the rules, just fuggedaboutit! (It keeps HS games much simpler if you remember that all FT's/other penalties are administered in the order in which they occurred.)
Of course, in NCAA, there are exceptions to the exception
dealing with intentional technical fouls, flagrant technical fouls, and the like.
