That's the situation that I was referring to when I agreed that you can try to get in between players. As Dan said, if you can prevent the
first shove, you're doing your job. Iow, if I think I can stop it from breaking out, fine. If they look like they're serious and are gonna go, no matter what, let their coaches and teammates break 'em up.
