If this WAS a Fed game, the verbal appeal is enough. The out should be called.

Otherwise, it's not your job to instruct a coach on the proper way to appeal. If he really doesn't know how, and he really wants to know, then he'll look it up. I personally would not "instruct" him after the game. That just opens a whole can of worms!
