Do your job
As a coach for many years, I expect umpires for a varsity league game to enforce the rules, including the rule that on defense no coaches are in LBT.
One time playing at a field where the dugout and fences layout made it difficult for my catcher to see my pitch calls, I had my bucket almost completely outside of the dugout and into LBT. Blue, whom I knew well, came over and said "I won't make you go inside the dugout, but if a live ball hits you or your bucket I'll make a call and it won't be pretty."
