Honestly I think you are asking the wrong question. The question should be do you allow a player knowingly to pull off the bag too early?

I do not allow a player to leave too early, but I do not nitpick this either. I call what likely happen without all the information. If a fielder is likely on the bag, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. I want to get and out anyway I can. Not if the fielder clearly left early, then I will call what took place accordingly. In most cases we are working 2 man systems and that puts us in some of the worst positions to see many plays. I call what is obvious to me. If I have to get out the ruler to determine something, then I am doing too much thinking about the play.
