'[Winton] was . . . making a player feel uncomfortable, and we have no tolerance for that,'' Barrett said. ``Serena and her camp felt it was racially motivated, so it made it more serious and . . . we err on the side of the player or guest who feels uncomfortable.''
If only Chris Webber knew about this provision when he called that excessive time-out during the '93 NCAA D-I Championship game. All those fans yelling and screaming surely made him feel uncomfortable, they should have reset the clock to err on the side of the player....who was visibly uncomfortable.
"By the time stadium security approached Winton, the match had ended and he was in the hallway. He was questioned, escorted off the grounds by Miami-Dade police and issued a no-trespass warning. Tennis, like other sports, is not immune to heckling. But fans deemed to go too far are kicked out."
Nice of them to at least watch the entire match so he could get the full value of his ticket. FYI: Most fans who are deemed to go to far are kicked out in every sport, I'm not sure if the sport of Tennis knew that.
