Along these lines....I teach 5th graders. Every day we start with a "word of the day" to help build vocabulary. Today's word was Bracketology and following that we spent about 15 minutes explaining how to make picks. I do this every year with my kids. Some years they get more into it than others. I guess I enjoy it and that's all that really counts. Just like on the court, it's all about me.  |
I actually ran a pool last year with my high school students. No money involved. The prize for beating me was a few extra points on the next exam.
