Less than a nanosecond? How about in a femtosecond?

A femtosecond is one millionth of a nanosecond.

A nanosecond (ns or nsec) is one billionth of a second.

Other fairly close plays would be ........

A picosecond = one trillionth of a second, or one millionth of a microsecond.

An attosecond = one quintillionth of a second.
