I think your research needs some work. You missed a few games. The MVC was 8-3 vs the WAC this season.

Air Force: No WAC opponents = 0-0
BYU: lost 68-72 @ Boise State, won 81-69 vs San Jose State, won 75-62 vs Utah State = 2-1
Colorado State: won 67-50 vs Boise State, game @ Boise State cancelled = 1-0
New Mexico: won 79-76 vs New Mexico State on 11/28, lost @ NMS 72-103 on 12/5 = 1-1
San Diego State: No WAC opponents = 0-0
TCU: No WAC opponents = 0-0
UNLV: won 73-59 vs Hawaii on 11/10, won 61-58 @ Hawaii on 12/6, won 58-49 @ Nevada = 3-0
Utah: lost 57-60 @ Utah State = 0-1
Wyoming: won 94-79 vs Boise State = 1-0

Some points:
Five games were played at WAC sites, six at MWC sites.
Utah State was 1-1 vs the MWC, UNLV was the only team to from either conference to win a road game, all three of the WAC wins were at home.

UNLV's 3-0 tilted it in the MWC's favor this year. They are a good team and deservedly is in the NCAA tournament. However, BYU was the only other MWC team to make the tourney. The WAC also landed two teams in the big dance: Nevada and New Mexico State.

Each conference also got two teams in the NIT. MWC: Air Force and San Diego State; WAC: Fresno State and Utah State

Despite the 8-3 record in favor of the MWC this year, it still seems to me that the two conferences are on par with each other. They should definitely work out a challenge deal!
