Sounds like you got the call right. If you're BU, you were focusing on the right spot: You have to get the timing of the catch/foot plant at 1. That said, you should EXPECT that your partner will
not be watching the same spot. HE should be (and was according to your post) watching for exactly what he saw, a swipe tag or OBS/INT/Foul, etc.
It is possible that you were too close to the play to see the entire motion.
All that FUBAR/boob stuff is blather. You and your partner got the call right. If this guy was sore with you over that, maybe you should
choose a different partner next time.
