I noticed that as well. Would this be a job of the officials to tell the coaches this? I also noticed the player coming out of the lockerrom in his street clothes with about 30 seconds remaining in the game.
Also, is their a mechanic for letting a player know he has been ejected. Or is it just assumed from the second technichal. R2 in this case made the "arm waving motion" much like a baseball umpire ejecting a player, coach or manager.
I also had a problem with the coach saying that HE was suspending the player for one game. Our state mandates a one game suspension for a player being ejected from a game. Although he may have meant that he was adding a game to that.
