All the officials' fault

Was watching a game last night sitting right behind the scorer's table. FED rules. With about 4:30 left visiting player (V1) takes home team's best player (H1) to the floor with a hard foul. V1 then uses H1's head to help himself to his feet. V1 is immediately whistled for he technical foul by R1. V1 then gets into the face of R1 and is pulled away by his teammates. V1 gets to the bench, picks up a chair and slams it down on the floor. He is immediately hit with his second technical by R2 (who signals that he has been ejected). The assistant coach escorts the player to the lockerroom and then returns to the bench alone. H1 then makes four out of five free throws to extend the lead from five to nine points. After the free throws, the home coach asks R1 to come over and the discuss something at length (very calmly). The home team ends up pulling away for about a 14 point win. As the coaches shake hands I hear the losing coach say, "Merry Christmas. The referee's gave you that one."

Before I left I heard the coach talking so someone in the lobby.

Coach: Can you believe that? He never said a word to the referees. They were baiting him. They completely took us out of the game.

Other person: Have you ever seen him act like that before?

Coach: Yeah, all the time. He is an emotional player. I don't know how to change that. I am going to suspend him for one game.

Any thoughts about all this?
