Working a 2-man game friday night. 20.1 seconds left in the game the score Team A 56 - Team B 55. Team B calls a time out after they score. After the time out, Team A is taking the ball out on the endline. I am the Lead, at half court, (Team B is pressing). Team A throws the ball in and tries to get the ball upcourt. B1 fouls A1 just beyond the halfcourt. The clock did not start. I went to the Trail official and ask what was his count when the ball was in the backcourt before it went into the froncourt. He said he had a count of 4. So I told that timer to set the clock to 17.1 seconds. Team A's coach wanted more time off since the ball had gone from backcourt to frontcourt and the ball was in the front court for more that 2 seconds. I said that was my frontcourt closely guarded count and I had not counted '1' before she was fouled. Then Team A's coach said take off another second. I told him I did not have a count of '1'. The he wanted a .5 seconds more then if it was not 'O' of '1'. I told him all I know is 4 seconds for certain and I am not taking off .5 seconds more since I have no knowledge of .1-.9 seconds on my signal and hand count. Team A ended up winning the game.
