A-1 walks by me pauses and says "your joking right? your crazy" Of course I whack him and his coach comes out and is chastizing the young man quite intensley. The rest of the game the coach never left his seat and said absolutly nothing (this was a four point game, and five points resulted from the tech.). We never went over and told the coach that he was seatbelted, I think he just assumed he was. Question is at what point would you consider the player bench personell, would it be upon notifying the coach? Or when the sub is brought in. This was probably one of the best games I think I have ever done as far as officiating.

Whenever you notify the coach, the player is considered bench personel. Tell the coach, start the timer, then tell the player.
