and his assistant would, but no-o-o-o-o-o! Help please! And if anyone is ISA, throw that in, too. Thanks guys!
1. In ASA, the player doesn't have to throw the ball to the
base on a dead ball appeal. What about in NSA, USSSA and
AFA? Are live ball appeals the same--tag the runner or the base?
2. Batting order may have 9 or 10 with DP/DEFO in ASA with
the DEFO in the 10th spot. How many can bat in the other
sanctions? I know some have EP.

Elaine,
For AFA questions 1 & 2 are the same as ASA. One of major
differences in AFA is if the batter is attempting to bunt
and leaves the bat over the plate, regarless of where the
ball is - high, low, inside, outside, etc., it is gonna be
a strike. Batter has to withdraw the bat. First time this
happen to me, pitch was over everyones head..felt kinda..
well, dumb, but that is the rule.
I don't do the others. However, I printed the USSSA rules
from the web. Might want to check on their DP/DEFO, nor
could I get clarification on the live appeal. They have it
but does not say tag runner and/or base. There are some on
here that call it, I know they will be here later..
Good luck to your daughter.
