Resist the urge to call "across the lane" as the Lead. In 2-person, you have to call plays on the opposite side of the lane. But in 3-person, you have a C over there and you need to let him/her call the far side of the lane and the far block.

Rotate as the Lead!!! Don't get stuck wide. I would always rather rotate a little too much than not enough. If you have to come back, no big deal; but don't make your C officiate the ball AND the post.

Be patient with your signals from the T and C. Even if it's clearly your call, sometimes the Lead will whistle and signal (those old 2-person habits!). To avoid conflicting calls, just hold your fist up for a second instead of going right to a block or charge signal.
