It fits

Umpires quickly divide into 2 camps about this ethical decision to group hug and make it right or play it by the book and leave it wrong. Either choice quickly affects our participants' judgement about us as umpires.

Point to the rule that doesn't allow you to reverse the call. Of course, it would help if that same decision is supported by those who pay your game fee. Suppose with either choice you make, that those people decide they no longer need your services. I would say you made the wrong call.

I suggest you do whatever makes YOU happy. You are UIC. Take charge 9.01C now. Please A#1 first. Remember that you are the one who takes the responsibility and the criticism with each decision you make. You represent the future.

I have blown many calls. Do I ever admit them or do I move on?

Let me know what really works.
