Is this considered a travel?

Okay, I will try and set the scene, but you may need to visualize a bit here. Player A receives a pass while in the front court, he needs to jump to secure the pass, after securing the pass, he comes down on one foot (all this takes place in the front court) then places the other foot on the floor. After both feet are on the floor, he then raises the 1st foot to touch and pivots off the second foot and subsequently returns the 1st foot to the floor. We have all seen this play as the point guard has his back to his basket, receives the pass from the back court, lands and then pivots to place his chest facing his basket. Did he travel in doing so? or is any player allowed two feet on the floor before a travel can take place? Please give me your input.
