Here I go again . . .

Men's undergrad semifinals - two very good, pretty evenly matched teams.

Team A is up by a few with just under 2 minutes to go. A is pushing upcourt, and B1 (who is, BTW, a ref in this rec league) runs over and contacts A1 - not hard, mind you, but enough to warrant a foul. I called the foul, thinking I did not want things to escalate to the point where I would have to call an intentional.

B1's comment - "Come on, Mark, you don't call that in the last two minutes."

Needless to say, if I work with him during the championships tonight, we're going to have a long talk about ignoring the time on the clock before our game.
