There is only one rule which could possibly apply to the color of the socks.
RULE 3, SECTION 5 TEAM MEMBER'S EQUIPMENT, APPAREL
ART. 1 . . . The referee shall not permit any team member to wear equipment or apparel which, in his/her judgment, is dangerous or confusing to other players or is not appropriate.
Now unless the referee believes that yellow socks are dangerous, confusing, or not appropriate, they are legal.
