We had our association meeting last night and went through part 1. We couldn't seem to come to a concensus on question 68, except that it was poorly worded, nothing new there. Just looking for everyone else's opinion on this question.
68. A player who has been withdrawn may not re-enter before the next opportunity to substitute after the ball becomes live following his/her replacement.
F 3-3-4 6-1-2
Considering that just because the ball has been made live, as in a throw in, doesn't mean that any time has run off the clock. Example, A45 replaces A 22 during a dead ball. Ball is given to Team A for a spot throw-in, but being unable to complete throw-in before the 5 second count is going to expire, calls time out. A22 may not re-enter since no time has run off of clock.
We all understand the application of the rule, but the wording of the question sucks.
Just wondering what concensus everyone else came to on this one.
We were somewhat split as to whether it should be true or false since the question seems to be saying that the player could re-enter at the next opportunity after the ball has been made live, even though no time had run off the clock. Seems to me that would make the answer false.
