Besides knowing the rules, hustle is the one thing that I was taught can help you improve your game. Such little things as hustling in to get the made (or missed) rebound on a free throw, or even hustling when going across court before the opening jump. (Referee only) I think it gives a good impression that you are fired up, and ready for the game. Little things like this can show both coaches and fans that this game is not ho-hum for you. Plus, I think it gives you a bit of confidence in yourself. Remember, first impressions can go a long way.
