During a time-out, the players that were on the court at the beginning of the time-out are considered as "players", not "bench personnel". Iow, if one of them gets a "T" during the time-out, the head coach is not charged with an indirect "T" also.

Rules reference is case book play 4.34.1 in the new 2006-07 case book. It ain't in last year's case book.

The "COMMENT" in that new case play says "During a time-out, A1 is considered a player and not bench personnel".
