OK, not only do I officiate softball and basketball, I coached HS basketball 15 years. As a coach, I never, ever blamed an official for a loss. The bottom line is that Oregon scored TWO times and Oklahoma had a field goal attempt at the end of the game and it was blocked. There is no way, IMO, you can pin this loss on the officials. Did they miss the call? Absolutely. Now, maybe I don't understand exactly how NCAA football uses the replay, but I thought there was one guy in the booth looking at the monitor and the referee on the field is just on a head set. How can the officials on the field get canned for a guy up in the booth?

Anyway, my thoughts are they should not be suspended. Bottom line is that Oklahoma lost the game - the officials did not loose it for them.
