You might talk to a physical therapist who specializes in sports injuries. I know the rehab I have done after having my knee scoped included leg presses (on the machine that has you supine), hamstring curls, and a lot of balance work on balance boards and Bosu balls. Also bike riding. My orthopedic surgeon told me that the last 15 degrees were the critical ones for developing the muscles that support the knees, so all the quad stuff including the bike is done with pretty shallow.

Good luck. I wish I had done that stuff early on and maybe I would not have had to have two surgeries.
