Code was created with the intent that it be used to show programming code, whether it be C, JavaScript, Turing, or whatever.
I think it is supposed to indent the text, preceed and suceed the text with a blank line, and use a monospace font. But it's been so long since I knew everything about each tag, I could be wrong.
